Hello world, artists, and creative souls!
“Art is in love with time. It needs time, it takes time, and it steals time in order to survive in time and be quiet enough to display the silence that betrays everybody and everything.” – Marlene Dumas

This Saturday I’ve been invited to do an artist talk at Bahrain’s Pecha Kucha 20X20 !
What is Pecha Kucha Night?
Pecha Kucha Night, devised by Klein Dytham architecture based in Tokyo, was conceived in 2003 as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each – giving them 6 minutes and 40 seconds to talk about their work.
Wish me luck !
For more info about Pecha Kucha visit the website. .

After the Elham Art Festival , I was fortunate in being introduced to a very talented writer and editor of Shout Magazine , Karina Lazarraga. She worked on a four page article coverage about my work ,and surprised me with an image of my screen print for the cover. I can not thank her enough for her wonderful work and beautifully written words.
Shout Confidential is a lifestyle magazine launched in Bahrain. It covers topics such as arts, culture, technology, fashion, health, and beauty. It’s “entertaining, informing and never boring!”

The Elham Arts Group in Bahrain is launching their 2nd annual Arts Festival for the month of May. I’m so happy to announce that I will be part of the big event! I will be showcasing five paintings for the Festival’s opening group exhibition ‘Fallen Into Harmony’. I will also be part of a Live Art session on May 7th, a collaborative performance with musicians and visual artists. The painters will create works on large wood panels as a response to the musical beats and performance. Can’t wait for the start of the event! Wish me luck!
